A £50 win on the premium bonds helped towards the purchase of our first cavalier "Lucy" in 1988. Having met another breed enthusiast who was into dog shows & owned a cavalier purchased from the world famous Homerbrent kennel we became interested in the show ring & eventually breeding our fiirst litter. Lucy was much loved & remained with us for 12 years but we soon realised despite a fairly decent Homerbrent pedigree she was not a show specimen, however she was healthy & a good whelper & her 2 litters taught us a lot.At that time I accompanied my friend on a trip to mate her bitch at the Homerbrent kennel where we were given a guided tour & then life changed forever because everytime you turned around there was a Japanese Chin puppy climbing out of the pen & landing at your feet & I was enchanted. Vanistica Asahi our first Chin like so many other peoples first attempt , turned out to be a pet, a dog with a lovely soul & eyes that could melt anyones heart we nursed him through his various problems until 9 1/2 years old. Lucky Lady came joined us from the Topchin kennel, a Kotaro daughter with beautiful eyes & expression she remained a tiny 4lb & made it quite clear showing wasn't her forte so she retired so that our dear friends could be her devoted slaves for the remainder of her 14 years.
Yama Moyah who passed away in 2011 at 16 years old arrived to begin the breeding line, & is her Grandaughter " "Natsumegg" now 13 1/4 years old who went on to found our line. Moyah's daughter Hachimitsu mated to Champion Dekobras Mastercard produced Champion Danichi Kyo & Champion Danichi Kardtu Dekobras .Most of our own Chin are now veteran or retired. We have only shown either breed in a modest way having some fun & gaining some stud book numbers along the way. We were later joined by Fralee Hato who is dam to Hatchiko & Michato ( by Machiko & Michio respectively). Michato has made a super start to his debut in 2009 his son Michihiro ( Doki) has made a pleasing start. Our Hillrows Machiko - Tao won Limit Dog at Crufts 2009, & just to prove the girls can do it too Arranbrook Silver Cilla won 1st/Best Puppy Bitch with Michio (Natsumegg Grandson ) despite his hatred of indoor shows managing at creditable reserve in Yearling Dog. Also for the 2009 season we have been hugely fortunate that the very promising Arranbrook Anastasia has also joined the family show team. Both Anastasia & Silver Cilla gained their stud book numbers in 2011. To come full circle we have been most fortunate to purchase the gorgeous little Chin Vanistica Mahosukai ( by Fralee Nicholas x Yama Amazing Grace Vanistica) being also a Grandson of Ch Stepheter Whats it All About his pedigree should combine really well with the Silver Cilla & her daughter Gin Majo ( by Hillrows Machiko) as well as Anastasia . Mahosukai Has produced wonderful puppies when mated to Anastasia & now Silver Cilla & also to Ch Vanistica Matchmaker most of them hope to make their showring debut, while Jinja ( Mahosukai x Anastasia) already has 2 Open Show BP awards & a Puppy group 2 & is multiple qualified for Crufts 2013. He has 2 CC & 3 RCC's to date June 2014 . Both Mahosukai & our German import Simsalachin Piccola Bella Luna have gained RCC's her at just 15 months in Junior. I am proud to announce that we have made up our fabulous R/W dog CHAMPION PEBBLECOMBE JINJA 4CC'S & $ RCC'S in 2014 I am also -please with the debut of our baby Pebblecombe Omisoka already an Open Show Puppy Group winner she has been place at every Championship show & is multiple qualified for Crufts.
